At Rise to Inspire Africa Initiative (RIA), we are committed to ending Gender-Based Violence (GBV) in all its forms. GBV is not only a grave violation of human rights—it leaves deep physical, emotional, and societal scars that disproportionately affect women and girls. Through prevention, advocacy, and survivor support, we are working to create a society where everyone can live free from violence, fear, and inequality.
GBV undermines the health, dignity, and security of survivors.
It fuels inequality and blocks social and economic progress.
Preventing GBV fosters safer communities and empowers individuals to reach their full potential.
Prevention & Awareness: Challenging harmful norms, raising awareness, and promoting gender equality to stop violence before it occurs.
Survivor Support: Offering psychosocial care, medical assistance, legal aid, and safe spaces to help survivors heal and rebuild with dignity.
Women & Girls’ Empowerment: Providing education, skills training, and economic opportunities to reduce vulnerability and build independence.
Community Engagement: Partnering with men, youth, and local leaders to shift attitudes and foster respect for all genders.
Policy & Advocacy: Strengthening laws and systems that protect survivors, ensure accountability, and drive systemic change.
Crisis Response: Integrating GBV prevention and response into humanitarian efforts to safeguard vulnerable populations in emergencies.
Every step we take against GBV is a step toward justice and equality. By supporting survivors, addressing root causes, and mobilizing communities, we are breaking cycles of violence and creating a future where respect, dignity, and equality prevail.
Together, we can build a world where no one lives in fear and every voice is valued.
